DDA had applied 5 years lock-in-period on DDA Housing Scheme 2014. Delhi Development Authority is considering to remove this clause to provide ease to beneficiaries to resell those flats. Main objective to implement this clause on housing scheme was to prevent speculation & to provide houses to genuine home seekers.

DDA Housing Scheme 2014 – 5 Year Lock-In-Period

This clause does not allow beneficiaries to resell flats upto 5 years i.e. people who have bought flats under DDA Housing Scheme 2014, can’t sell them till the end of 5 years. This is now considered to be a very long time period that can be removed by the authority.

For DDA Housing Scheme 2017, 5 year lock-in-period has already been removed in month of May.
This major step is considered to be a big relief to applicants of DDA Housing Scheme.
